GMail is the ultimate in web-based mail - glad to see you're diggin' it too! The interface, the spam controls, the organization and of course the searching, make the whole package great.

Since I know you're a Firefox user, you might want to check out the GMail Notifier Extension from doron and the GMail Compose Extension from Jed Brown if you haven't already. Both make life even easier if you find yourself centralizing everything to GMail. ;)

Gmail releases invites in bunches. It is not connected to when you joined. Gmail just went through two quick rounds of handing our a ton of invites. There have been a few very large service bugs that have rolled through the system the past few days, so invites will most likely be a while as they get ready to scale to the next level. If you like Gmail, Oddpost (just bought by Yahoo), is a great interface and was light years ahead of where Gmail is now a few years back.
